Schwenkfelders Then and Now
We’ve been doing this since 1734…and that’s just in America
Schwenkfelder churches are rich with the Christian beliefs of Southeastern Pennsylvania.
Caspar Schwenckfeld’s Aim
My conclusive opinion, writing, motive,
and faith, in brief,
are directed to the end that we may become true Christians
and in the sight of God - just, upright, and blessed;
that we may learn to recognize correctly, God the Father
and Jesus Christ the Son (true God and man)
as our Lord in the Holy spirit,
the spirit of grace and the riches of God in our hearts.
— Caspar Schwenckfeld

Mind your "C’s” and “K’s”
It is common practice of the Schwenkfelder Church to insert the letter “c” before the letter “k” when referring to the Reformer Caspar Schwenckfeld, who is also known as Caspar Schwenckfeld von Ossig (from Ossig, Germany) or Caspar von Schwenckfeld (from Schwenckfeld family). The Church or a parishioner is always written as Schwenkfelder.
