Schwenkfelders Then and Now

We’ve been doing this since 1734…and that’s just in America

Schwenkfelder churches are rich with Christian tradition and are located in Southeastern Pennsylvania.

Our denomination’s next event is the Day of Remembrance which will be held on Sunday afternoon September 27 at 3:00 pm. It will take place at the Schwenkfelder Missionary Church on 29 West Tulpehocken Street in the Aulenbach House in the Germantown section of Philadelphia.

The service consists of singing, reading of Scripture, a sermon, and a short presentation on the valuable spiritual legacy of the Schwenkfelder tradition.

More information can be found on our Day of Remembrance page.

Caspar Schwenckfeld’s Aim

My conclusive opinion, writing, motive,
and faith, in brief,
are directed to the end that we may become true Christians
and in the sight of God - just, upright, and blessed;
that we may learn to recognize correctly, God the Father
and Jesus Christ the Son (true God and man)
as our Lord in the Holy spirit,
the spirit of grace and the riches of God in our hearts.
